There's more to wool than just knitting.  I use it to make pictures, by felting and needlefelting wool.

 

It is great fun, involving water, soap, wool and in my case mess: it's very addictive.  The pictures are made with wool roving, silks and other fibres which catch the light in different ways and give a 3-D effect unlike normal paintings.
